Prepare for God's Visitation: A Call to Spiritual Readiness
Prepare for God's Visitation: A Call to Readiness

Getting ready for the great programme

Text: Amos 4:12

“Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.” Every divine visitation demands adequate preparation. Throughout the Scriptures, whenever God was about to do something remarkable among His people, He always called them to prepare themselves. God is a God of order, and He expects His children to approach His presence with seriousness, expectation, and readiness.

As our great programme, titled: “…And The Enemies Submitted,” holds on June 27 and 28, 2026, it is important that everyone begins to prepare spiritually, mentally and physically, so that, we may receive all that God has in store for us. A programme of this nature is not merely another gathering or religious activity. It is an opportunity for God to save souls, heal the sick, restore the backslidden, break yokes, revive the church and bless His people. Great programmes have often marked turning points in the lives of men and women who came with the right attitude and expectation. Therefore, we must not approach this crusade casually, but with earnest preparation and prayer.

Sanctification and Heart Preparation

The Lord instructed Moses before He descended on Mount Sinai. In Exodus 19:10-11, we read: “And the Lord said unto Moses, go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, and be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.” The people were commanded to sanctify themselves because God’s presence was coming among them. Likewise, as we anticipate this great programme, we should sanctify ourselves and prepare our hearts for a fresh encounter with God.

One of the most important preparations we must make is the preparation of the heart. Proverbs 23:26 says: “My son, give me thine heart.” God is interested in the condition of our hearts. He desires sincerity, humility and genuine repentance. Sin hinders blessings and prevents men from enjoying the fullness of God’s presence. Therefore, this is a time for self-examination. It is a time to make peace with God and with fellow men. It is a time to forsake every sinful habit and return wholeheartedly to the Lord. Isaiah 55:7 says: “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” God is ever willing to forgive and restore those who sincerely turn to Him. No one should come to this programme with a burden of unconfessed sin. Let every heart be cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

The Role of Prayer

Another essential preparation is prayer. Earnest prayers precede every God’s successful move. The disciples tarried in prayer before the outpouring of the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost. Acts 1:14 says: “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication.” Prayer prepares the atmosphere for divine manifestations. Prayer opens doors that no man can shut. Prayer brings down the power of God. As we approach this great programme, every believer should dedicate time to prayer. Pray for the ministers who will be used by God. Pray for sinners to be convicted and saved. Pray for the sick to be healed and for captives to be delivered. Pray for the presence and power of God to overshadow the entire programme. James 5:16 says: “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Faith and Expectation

We should also prepare ourselves with faith and expectation. Many people attended meetings during the earthly ministry of Jesus, but only those who exercised faith received miracles. Hebrews 11:6 says: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” God still rewards those who seek Him diligently. Therefore, come expecting salvation, healing, deliverance, restoration, and spiritual revival. The woman with the issue of blood received her miracle because she came with expectation. She said within herself: “If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole,” (Matthew 9:21). Her faith was rewarded. Likewise, God will honour the faith of everyone who comes to this programme with a believing heart.

Inviting Others

Preparation also involves inviting others. God has not blessed us to keep the good news to ourselves. There are many souls around us who need Christ. Some are burdened, sick, discouraged and bound by the enemy. This programme may be God’s appointed time for their salvation and deliverance. Jesus commanded His followers in Mark 16:15: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Let every member become an evangelist. Invite friends, neighbours, relatives and colleagues. Pray for them and encourage them to attend. Andrew brought Peter to Jesus, and Philip brought Nathanael. Through simple invitations, many have come to know the Lord. May God use us to bring many souls into His kingdom.

Unity and Love

We should also prepare to dwell in unity and love. Division hinders the flow of God’s blessings. Psalm 133:1 says: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” God commands His blessing where unity prevails. Let all bitterness, envy, malice and unforgiveness be put away. Let us labour together with one mind and one purpose, seeking the glory of God above personal interests.

Obedience to God's Word

Further, we must prepare ourselves to hear and obey God’s word. It is not enough to attend meetings; we must be doers of the word. James 1:22 says: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” God expects obedience. Whenever His word comes forth, it demands a response. Those who obey His word experience transformation and blessings. The days in which we live are perilous, and many are becoming careless and indifferent towards spiritual matters. Yet, God is still calling men and women to Himself. This programme may be a turning point for many lives. It may be the hour of salvation for some, the time of healing for others, and the season of restoration for many families. Therefore, none should neglect such an opportunity.

Diligent Service

Ecclesiastes 9:10 says: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.” Let every worker, every choir member, every usher, every prayer warrior and every believer put forth their best efforts. Let us serve with diligence and enthusiasm, knowing that we are labouring for God’s kingdom.

Looking Unto Jesus

Above all, let us look unto Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He alone is the source of every blessing. He remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8 says: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” The same Saviour who healed the sick, cleansed the lepers, raised the dead, and saved sinners in Bible days is still mighty to save and deliver today.

As the great programme approaches, may every heart be ready. May every family be prepared. May every believer pray and labour for the success of the programme. Let us come with holiness, faith, expectation, and thanksgiving. And as we prepare to meet God, may He visit us in a mighty way. May souls be saved, lives be transformed, the sick healed and His name be glorified. May it be said concerning this programme that the Lord, Himself, was amid His people and that none who came seeking Him returned empty-handed. In Jesus’ name! Amen!

May the Lord grant that this forthcoming crusade will bring abundant salvation, revival, healing and a great harvest of souls for His kingdom. God bless you.
