Telnet Schools, Adebayo Faith Win at Young Talent FIT Competition

The Young Talent FIT Initiative hosted its 13th Students and Teens Competition on May 23, 2026, at the Adegbemile Cultural Centre in Akure, as part of the 2026 Children’s Day celebrations. The event brought together hundreds of students, educators, dignitaries, and partners to celebrate youth talent, creativity, and development.

Competition Categories and Winners

The competition featured music and essay writing contests aimed at discovering and nurturing emerging talents across Ondo State. After a rigorous screening and mentoring process, 10 finalists qualified for the music category, while five advanced to the essay writing finals.

In the music category, Telnet International Schools emerged as the winner with an outstanding performance. Benjamin Peace secured second place, and Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School, Akure, took third place.

In the essay writing category, Adebayo Faith clinched first place with exceptional originality and depth. Osuntuyi Victor of Magen and Shilde College came second, while Ojo Oluwatimilehin placed third.

Background and Significance

The competition is part of the Young Talent FIT Initiative’s 13-year commitment to youth empowerment. It focuses on building confidence, discipline, and purpose in young individuals through structured development, mentorship, and exposure.

The event attracted notable personalities, including Hon. Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa; representatives of the Ondo State Ministry of Education; Rev. Ademola Awoyele; and other distinguished guests.

Sponsors and Partners

A major highlight was the strong support from sponsors and partners who contributed to the event’s success. Key supporters included Tolaram Group (makers of Indomie), Ariel Hair Canada, Tyne College UK, Hon. Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Sophia Studios, NIINA Technology, Ayaba Creations, and several others.

Their contributions ranged from product support and cash prizes to career and development opportunities. Indomie provided meals and distributed products to participants. Ariel Hair Canada, Tyne College UK, and Hon. Adeniyan supported with cash rewards. Sophia Studios awarded a recording deal to the winner of the music category. NINNA Technology and Ayaba Creations offered professional training opportunities to selected participants.

Guest Speaker Remarks

Guest speaker Evang. Sola Oki commended the Founder and CEO of Young Talent FIT Initiative, Fulness Tolulope Adisa, for her consistency in creating platforms that empower young people and promote purposeful expression.

Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr Tommy Adisa, expressed appreciation to sponsors, partners, and supporters, describing the initiative as “a life-changing platform committed to raising confident and future-ready leaders.”

Future Plans

Beyond the competition, the initiative continues to stand out as a platform for transformation, equipping participants with skills, exposure, and opportunities that extend beyond the stage. The next edition of the Young Talent FIT Initiative Competition is scheduled for May 29, 2027.

After 13 years of consistent impact, the Young Talent FIT Initiative continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of young talents, turning potential into purpose and opportunity into lasting transformation.
