The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has officially opened its portal for the 2026/2027 post-UTME screening registration, with the deadline set for Sunday, July 5, at 11:59 pm. The registration commenced on Monday, June 22, and the university has urged candidates to carefully read the instructions before applying.
Admission Criteria for UNILORIN 2026/2027 Session
According to UNILORIN, the offer of admission will be based on an aggregate of three components: UTME or A'level score (50%), post-UTME screening score (30%), and five relevant O'level grades (20%). This breakdown was published in the pre-admission screening document on the university's official website.
Candidates are advised to ensure they meet the minimum requirements before proceeding with registration. The university emphasized that only candidates who participated in the 2026 UTME and chose UNILORIN as their first choice are eligible.
Candidates Exempted from Screening Test
UNILORIN stated that candidates with specific disabilities are exempted from the screening test. These include individuals who are blind, deaf, mute, autistic, amputees, lame, paralysed, or those with Down syndrome, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), albinism, cerebral palsy, and disfigurement. Such candidates are still required to register but will not undergo the written screening.

UNILORIN provided a detailed registration procedure for candidates. The steps are as follows:
- Visit the official portal at https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/ug/admissions or https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng and click on Post-UTME Registration. Candidates are strongly advised not to use any other link.
- On the Undergraduate Pre-admission page, click on "Verify your details" on the right-hand side.
- Complete the displayed fields, including JAMB Registration Number, Phone Number, and Email Address. The surname and first name are automatically displayed for confirmation. Ensure you supply a personal and active email address and phone number for further communications.
- Click on the Verify button to proceed to the payment page.
- Click on Make Payment to go to the Remita platform. Select your ATM card type (Visa or MasterCard), enter the 12-digit card number, expiry date, CVV, and card PIN, then click Pay.
