Federal Unity Schools Receive Interactive Tech Boards to Boost Digital Learning
In a significant move to digitalize public education, an indigenous technology firm, Wowbii Infrastructure, has donated 20 units of interactive boards to the Unity Schools Old Students Association (USOSA). This initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance technology-driven education and support institutions renowned for academic excellence across Nigeria.
Strategic Contribution to Modern Classrooms
The equipment presentation occurred over the weekend in Lagos, attended by alumni leadership members and other stakeholders. Gbolahan Olayomi, Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Equipment Hall Limited and Wowbii Infrastructure, emphasized the critical role of Nigeria's unity colleges in the nation's educational heritage and national integration framework.
"Supporting USOSA with modern interactive learning technology is a strategic contribution toward improving classroom delivery, enhancing student engagement, and aligning our schools with global digital learning standards," Olayomi stated during the handover ceremony.
Aligning with Federal Government Initiatives
This donation aligns with the Federal Government's drive to modernize classrooms, promote digital learning adoption, and strengthen institutional capacity in public schools. The initiative reflects a growing commitment to upgrading educational infrastructure to meet contemporary demands.
A statement released to journalists in Port Harcourt highlighted that USOSA, under the leadership of President-General Mike Magaji, continues to play an active role in developing and supporting Federal Unity Colleges nationwide. The association's efforts complement government policies aimed at transforming the educational landscape.
Enhancing Student Engagement and Learning Outcomes
The interactive boards are expected to revolutionize classroom experiences by facilitating more engaging and interactive teaching methods. This technology enables educators to incorporate multimedia content, real-time collaboration, and digital resources into their lessons, potentially improving learning outcomes and student participation.
As Nigeria strives to bridge the digital divide in education, such partnerships between private sector entities and educational associations demonstrate a collaborative approach to addressing infrastructure gaps. The donation represents a tangible step toward equipping students with the technological tools necessary for success in an increasingly digital world.
