The Federal Government has been strongly encouraged to prioritize revenue generation by investing in platforms that equip Nigerians with practical sales and income-generation skills. Expert Insights from the 2026 Sales Power Conference

Dr Femi Joshua, the Executive Officer of the African School of Sales and Management (ASSAM), highlighted this need at the recent 2026 Sales Power Conference, themed "Sell smart win big." He argued that Nigeria's economic issues could be effectively tackled by empowering individuals and businesses to increase their earnings, rather than relying solely on traditional salaries.

Dr Joshua advised the Federal Government to create similar platforms where citizens could learn practical revenue-generation strategies. He stressed that government institutions must also focus on boosting internally generated revenue to drive economic stability and foster sustainable growth.

Benefits of Structured Sales and Revenue Training

According to the convener, structured sales and revenue training would enable professionals and companies to improve performance, create jobs, and increase disposable income. This approach is expected to have a ripple effect on national economic growth, as enhanced individual earnings contribute to broader financial health.

Dr Joshua mentioned that participants in previous training sessions have seen significant improvements, including enhanced sales capacity, higher commissions, better living standards, and increased ability to support dependants.
