Damuli Investment Pumps N90 Million into Yobe's Education Sector
N90m Boost for Yobe Education by Damuli Investment

In a significant development for the educational landscape of Yobe State, Damuli Investment Nigeria (DMIN) has announced a major financial commitment exceeding N90 million. This substantial investment, spearheaded by the firm's leader, Alhaji Liman Muhammad Dabuwa, is aimed at bolstering education service delivery and community development across the state.

Comprehensive Support for Schools and Students

The company's philanthropic drive between 2024 and 2025 has touched various critical areas. A key intervention was the allocation of N9.1 million specifically for procuring mattresses and bedding materials for the Mai Bukar Boarding Primary School (MBBS). Even before official government approvals were secured, DMIN proactively provided N10.5 million to cover three months of feeding support for students at the same boarding school.

In a major boost during August 2025, the firm made a generous contribution of N38.5 million to Mai Bukar Boarding School. This fund was designated for the purchase of essential learning materials, computers, food supplies for educators, and gifts for graduation ceremonies.

Empowering Orphans and Higher Education

Recognizing the plight of vulnerable children, Damuli Investment directly supported 15 orphaned students at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) in Potiskum, paying their school registration fees which amounted to over N3 million. Furthermore, the company has committed N2.03 million to cover the second- and third-term fees for 15 orphans from Machina Local Government Area.

Support extended to tertiary education as well, with the firm assisting over 150 students in various institutions of higher learning by settling their registration fees, totalling N13.75 million. In an emergency response, the company provided crucial building materials to Yobe State University (YSU) following a fire incident, facilitating the swift reconstruction of damaged facilities.

Cultural and Future Commitments

Beyond formal education, DMIN invested in cultural development by donating N11 million to the Yobe State Annual Qur'anic Recitation Competition held in Machina in 2025. The funding covered gifts and feeding for all participants.

Looking ahead, Alhaji Dabuwa has pledged support for the College of Nursing and Midwifery in Damaturu to advance health education. For 2026, the company has already earmarked N500,000 to purchase essential teaching materials for Government Secondary School (GSS) in the border community of Machina. Other past interventions included a N1.6 million sponsorship for entrance examinations for prospective students of Mai Bukar Boarding School across 10 political wards in Machina Local Council.

These wide-ranging initiatives underscore Damuli Investment's pivotal role as a corporate partner in enhancing educational infrastructure and creating opportunities in Yobe State. The strategic focus on supporting schools, orphans, and students, particularly girls, is paving the way for a brighter future for the state's youth.
