Three students enrolled in the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) have taken social media by storm after sharing their impressive 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. The students, who were advised by their institution to sit for the JAMB examination, posted their scores online, sparking widespread attention.
JUPEB Students Flaunt High Scores
The viral post, shared on TikTok by user @edisemi_kenneth, features a photo of himself and two other friends along with screenshots of their UTME results. All three are art students, having taken subjects such as Government and Literature, along with English and another social science subject.
Among the group, a female student named Blessing scored a total of 268, while another friend, Tonte, achieved 275. The male student, @edisemi_kenneth, topped the group with a total of 276. Notably, all three recorded very high marks in Government, a subject they collectively excelled in.
Why They Wrote JAMB
In the comments section of the post, @edisemi_kenneth explained that their school encouraged them to participate in the JAMB examination, though he did not disclose the specific reason behind this advice. The post has since gone viral, with many users congratulating the students on their outstanding performance.
This story follows similar trends where students share their UTME achievements online. In a related report, a young man named Isaac expressed frustration after his UTME result fell short of his expectations despite rigorous preparation. Conversely, a brother proudly shared his sister's JAMB scores, highlighting her dream to study medicine. Another 18-year-old girl also went viral after revealing her father's emotional reaction to her high UTME score.
The achievements of these JUPEB students serve as an inspiration to many, demonstrating that dedication and hard work can yield excellent results in Nigeria's competitive tertiary entrance examinations.
