A young Nigerian lady has shared her 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result online after being denied admission despite scoring 294 in her first attempt. The lady, who goes by the TikTok handle @kemibby16, posted a video detailing her journey through three JAMB exams and the challenges she faced in securing a university place.
High Score but No Admission
In her video, @kemibby16 explained that she scored 294 in her first JAMB exam, a result many considered excellent. However, she did not apply to a conventional university but instead sought admission into the Police Academy. She successfully passed the post-UTME examination, scoring over 60 out of 100, but was later disqualified during the screening process due to her height. The academy informed her that she was too short to be admitted, and by the time she received this news in December, the admission process for other schools had already closed.
Second Attempt and Continued Struggles
The following year, the lady sat for another JAMB exam and scored 268, but again failed to secure admission. Undeterred, she wrote the 2026 UTME and shared her latest result, which showed a score of 273. Her TikTok video, which has garnered significant attention, displayed the progression of her scores: 294, then 268, and finally 273. The caption read: "Three years. Same exam. Different battles. People will say a lot... Why haven't you gained admission? You wasted your scores. But what they don't see is the consistency. The effort. The times I had to start again when I didn't feel like it. No, it hasn't gone the way I planned. But I didn't quit. And that matters. I'm not where I want to be yet... But I'm not behind either. This is still my story. And I'm still writing it."

The post sparked a wave of reactions from social media users. Many expressed admiration for her resilience and impressive scores. User Omo tolA commented, "I'm really curious on the course you are applying for cus this scores are veryyy impressive." MR CLAUDIUS wrote, "Wait with all the score you had you are still rewiring."
