A Nigerian man who recently became a medical doctor has gone viral on TikTok after sharing his story of overcoming academic challenges. The newly inducted physician posted a video on his Instagram account, where he recalled writing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) seven times before gaining admission to study medicine.
From Repeated Exams to Medical Induction
The doctor, who uses the TikTok handle @dhoktorbush, documented his journey from multiple exam attempts to his formal induction into the medical profession. In the video, he is seen wearing graduation attire and posing for photographs during his induction ceremony. He reflected on the stark contrast between the period of repeated UTME attempts and the moment he stood as a qualified doctor.
In his post, he wrote: "One moment you're taking UTME for the 7th time, the next moment you're posing for your induction photo shoot as a medical doctor. Induction in a bit. Doctor in a minute. It's really been a journey and I'm grateful to God." The video quickly circulated on TikTok, drawing widespread attention and congratulations.
