Man Missed UI Cut-Off by 8 Points, Shares JAMB Score

A man who once applied to study Political Science at the University of Ibadan (UI) has shared his experience after missing the institution's cut-off mark by a narrow margin of eight points. He recounted his JAMB experience following the announcement by the examination board, which set the general cut-off mark for university admissions at 150.

Man Recalls Missing UI Admission

Reacting to the board's statement, the individual quoted the announcement and detailed his own encounter with the University of Ibadan's admission process years ago. He revealed that he scored 252 in the UTME but was denied admission to his preferred course because the cut-off mark for Political Science at UI was 260.

He wrote: "See how things have changed. I remember scoring 252 in JAMB after high school, but the cut-off mark for Political Science at the University of Ibadan was 260, so I wasn't admitted." He further explained that despite selecting UI as both his first and second choice, he still could not secure admission to study Political Science.
