A young lady who selected the University of Ibadan (UI) as her second choice during her JAMB registration has posted her 2026 UTME score online, seeking advice on her chances of admission.
Aspirant Reveals Score and Dream Course
The lady, who appears to be a commercial student, disclosed her dream course and asked if her score would be sufficient. On her Facebook page, Pweety Anikeade wrote: "Good morning everyone, pls can I study Banking and Finance at UI with 194 and I picked it as second choice."
Her post immediately attracted reactions from social media users. Joseph Adesanya responded, stating that she is not qualified because she needs a minimum of 200 in JAMB to qualify for UI's post-UTME examination.
UI Cut-Off Mark Not Yet Released
It is important to note that the University of Ibadan has not yet officially released its cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 academic session. However, JAMB recently announced 150 as the general admission cut-off mark for Nigerian universities during its policy meeting in May 2026.
In a related story, a young lady gained admission to UI nine years after finishing secondary school, after multiple JAMB attempts and changing her course plans. She was finally admitted to study Nursing.
Another story highlights a lady who secured admission to UI after five years of writing JAMB. She shared her joy online after matriculating, expressing pride in being a UI student.
Additionally, a UI law graduate shared her JAMB score of 218 and her admission journey, noting that she is now close to becoming a lawyer despite challenges.
