Ngwa High School Welcomes Alumni for Annual Inter-House Sports Competition

Members of the Ngwa High School Abaiyi Old Boys Association are set to attend the school's yearly inter-house sports competition, scheduled for Monday, March 30, at the school's sports centre. This event highlights the enduring legacy of one of the defunct Eastern Region's prominent institutions.

Distinguished Alumni and Dignitaries to Grace the Occasion

Ngwa High School boasts a rich history of notable alumni, including current Abia State Governor, Alex Chioma Otti, along with prominent jurists and academics. According to the Acting Principal, Rev. Canon John Ikechi Mammah, other dignitaries expected include Abia State's Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Goodluck Ubochi; Mayor/Executive Chairman of Osisioma Ngwa Local Council, Chidi Chris Agu; Professor Jasper Jumbo; Rev. Christian Ugwuzor, president-general of the Ngwa High School Old Boys Association (NHSOBA); and the school's proprietor, Rev. Nathan C.O Kanu (PhD).

Alumni Contributions Enhance the Competition

The Ngwa High School 1984 set has generously donated a cup for the March Pass event, as well as laurels for houses finishing in second and third positions. Additionally, the Aba Branch of the association will reward outstanding athletes at the competition, fostering a spirit of excellence and community support.
