₦100m Bursary for 1,000 Ondo South Students

In a significant boost for education, one thousand students from the Ondo South Senatorial District are set to benefit from a generous ₦100 million bursary scheme funded by Senator Jimoh Ibrahim. The initiative, designed to alleviate financial burdens and invest in human capital, will be formally launched on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the University of Fortune in Igbotako, Ondo State.

Flexible Disbursement And Eligibility Details

The organizers have outlined multiple collection methods to ensure every beneficiary can access their funds. Students can receive their bursary in person at the official award ceremony, which begins at 10:00 a.m. Alternatively, they can delegate collection via a signed authorization letter or opt for remote payment directly into their bank accounts after a telephone confirmation.

The bursary is strictly reserved for current students from all six local government areas within the Ondo South District. The organizers issued a stern warning that any beneficiary found to be a graduate or no longer a student will immediately forfeit their slot, which will be reallocated to another eligible candidate from the same locality.

Special Provisions And Lasting Impact

A thoughtful arrangement has been made for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). All PWD beneficiaries will receive their bursary payments through their designated leader, Omamofe, and are exempt from attending the physical ceremony.

Beyond the immediate financial relief, the initiative aims to create a lasting legacy. All one thousand beneficiaries will be formally designated as JI Scholars. This title comes with a certificate that recognizes their status and can be used to apply for further financial assistance or educational support programs in the future.

Reaffirming their commitment, the organizers congratulated the selected candidates, stating they are proud of their achievements and look forward to the positive impact they will make in their communities and beyond.
