VeryDarkMan Offers Scholarship to Tech Prodigy Smartician for Studies in China
VeryDarkMan Gives Scholarship to Nigerian Boy for China Studies

In a heartwarming display of generosity, popular online commentator Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has pledged to sponsor the education of a talented young Nigerian tech enthusiast. The beneficiary, who goes by the name Smartician, is set to further his studies in China following the life-changing promise.

A Viral Promise of Opportunity

The remarkable story unfolded after someone drew VeryDarkMan's attention to Smartician's ingenious technological projects. In a video from his yet-to-be-launched office, posted on December 19, 2025, VeryDarkMan narrated how he discovered the boy's talent and showcased some of his impressive inventions to netizens.

He shared clips of Smartician constructing functional devices like a blender, a wireless power bank, and a projector using locally sourced materials. These creations were reportedly made in response to challenges from commenters on his social media videos.

Funding a Future from Donations

VeryDarkMan, who recently received a substantial donation of $50,000 (over N72 million), declared that sponsoring Smartician's education would be a primary use of the funds. He expressed a firm belief that investing in the boy's potential was a worthwhile cause.

"...For now, this is my major project, and I will send him to school," VeryDarkMan stated. He elaborated on his vision, saying he believes that if Smartician acquires a quality education in China and achieves success, he will be empowered to uplift others in turn.

Uncontainable Joy and Netizen Celebrations

Smartician's reaction to the news was a pure, viral expression of elation. In a now widely circulated video, the excited lad burst out of his room and sprinted up and down a corridor, his joy knowing no bounds. Overwhelmed with gratitude, he took to social media to thank his benefactor.

"VDM offered to give me scholarship to study in china. Thank you so much vdm oMo, I feel so blessed right now," Smartician wrote.

The online community has largely celebrated the development. Comments on social media posts have poured in, congratulating Smartician and urging him to stay focused, avoid distractions, and remember to help others when he succeeds. Many noted that they discovered the talented boy specifically because of VeryDarkMan's platform.

This act of philanthropy follows another recent gesture by VeryDarkMan, who extended a job offer to a suspended Benue State official. That official was penalized for participating in a protest against the killing of nearly 250 people in the Yelewata community.
