DOBA Lagos Chapter June 12 Meeting: National Issues, Alumni Concerns

The Dekina Old Boys Association (DOBA), Lagos chapter, has scheduled its second yearly general meeting for June 12, 2026. Members will gather for stock-taking, strengthening brotherhood, and mapping out concrete support for both their alma mater and one another.

Speakers and Distinguished Alumni

Speakers at the meeting include Simon Ilabija Okpanachi, Head Boy of the 1968 set, Prof. Isah Momoh of Salem University, Lokoja, who is the grand patron of DOBA Lagos chapter, and Chairman Navy Captain Solomon Musa Ochidi (rtd), among others.

Event Details and Agenda

According to the invitation letter from DOBA Secretary Sam Momoh, the event will take place at JJT Park, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. Members will discuss launching a professional networking platform and job board within the association, addressing the burgeoning labour market. This year's meeting will also celebrate 27 years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria and the foundational role of Western education in national development.

History of DOBA

DOBA was founded in 1932 as a senior primary school and transitioned to a full secondary school at Nigeria's independence in 1960, enrolling its first set of students that same year.
