Every Student visa applicant must provide a valid passport or other acceptable travel document. The CAS, which is a digital reference number given by the university or college, confirms that the applicant has been offered a place on a course and has met the academic and English language requirements. For applicants under 18, written consent from parents or legal guardians is required, along with proof of the relationship, such as a birth certificate.

Successful applicants will receive an eVisa, which is a digital record of their identity and immigration status. The government said that applicants will receive instructions by email or letter on how to create a UKVI account to access their eVisa.
