The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has thrown its weight behind a major educational initiative, partnering with Abuja City Journal (ACJ) to support the third edition of the National Essay Competition. This year's competition has witnessed an unprecedented level of interest, with more than 10,000 submissions received from young participants across Nigeria. The contest, which has rapidly grown into one of the country's premier platforms for nurturing young writers, will culminate in a grand finale scheduled for 26 November in Abuja.
From the thousands of entries received, organizers have selected 25 finalists who will compete for substantial cash rewards. The top three winners will receive ₦5 million, ₦3 million, and ₦2 million respectively, with the prize structure specifically designed to reward academic excellence and motivate brilliant young Nigerians to sharpen their analytical and writing skills.
