The Proprietor of Throneroom College of Nursing Sciences, Kafanchan, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, has officially inaugurated the Board of Trustees for the newly established institution. During the ceremony held on Thursday in Kafanchan, located in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Kure emphasized the critical role of the board in elevating the college to world-class standards. As the Vision Pioneer of Throneroom Trust Ministry, he described the board as a "dream Board" tasked with producing high-quality nursing personnel to meet pressing healthcare needs across Southern Kaduna and beyond.
Selection and Expectations for the Board
Kure highlighted that board members were carefully selected based on their principles, professional performance, and enduring legacies in their respective fields. He urged them to ensure the college excels in key areas such as curriculum development, staffing, discipline, ethics, and overall educational standards. "The institution would create opportunities for the people and help close healthcare manpower gaps in the area," he stated, underscoring the college's mission to address local healthcare challenges.
Tribute to Board Chairman and Future Vision
In his address, Kure paid special tribute to the Chairman of the Board, Mrs. Alheri Yusuf, acknowledging her instrumental role in fast-tracking the establishment of the college. Yusuf, a former Director of Nursing at the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, has also served as a consultant for organizations like UNFPA and USAID, bringing extensive experience to her new position. Kure expressed optimism that under her leadership, the college would grow into a model of excellence, inspiring further developmental efforts in Southern Kaduna.
Acceptance Speech and Commitments
In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Alheri Yusuf thanked Apostle Kure for the opportunity and pledged the board's dedication to ensuring the institution's success. She called for cooperation among board members and management staff, emphasizing that their appointments should be viewed as a "call to service to God and humanity." Yusuf announced that the college aims to admit candidates taking this year's Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, with a commitment to producing compassionate and qualified nurses. Additionally, she appealed to the Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area for support in enhancing security and improving access roads to the institution.
