Babcock University 2026 UTME Admission Guidelines Released

Days after the conclusion of the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, Babcock University has officially released its admission guidelines for candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate programmes. The university, located in Ogun State, published the requirements on its website, providing clear instructions for all prospective applicants.

Age Requirement and Academic Qualifications

One of the most notable directives is the warning to candidates who are 16 years old or below. The university explicitly advised such applicants not to apply for admission. The general entry requirements state that candidates must possess a minimum of five credits at the GCE, SSCE, or NECO examinations, or their equivalent, in not more than two sittings. However, for candidates wishing to study Medicine, only one sitting is accepted.

First-Choice Requirement

Babcock University emphasized that only candidates who selected the institution as their first choice in the 2026 UTME are eligible to apply for the Post-UTME screening. Candidates who did not initially choose Babcock University as their first choice are required to change their institution of first choice at any accredited JAMB CBT centre before they can proceed with the application process.

Application Process for Transfer and Foreign Applicants

For candidates applying for inter-university transfer, the university requires the submission of a JAMB Admission Letter, an academic transcript, and an Attestation Letter from the previous university. These documents are necessary to facilitate the inter-university transfer with JAMB. Additionally, foreign applicants are welcome to apply, provided they meet the general entry requirements and JAMB requirements.

How to Apply

Interested candidates who meet the criteria can apply for the Post-UTME by visiting the official admissions portal at https://admissions.babcock.edu.ng. The university reiterated that admission into its undergraduate programmes is strictly through UTME and JAMB Direct Entry (DE), and only candidates who selected Babcock University as first choice are eligible for the screening exercise.

Babcock University also reminded all applicants that the application process is open to both UTME and Direct Entry candidates. The institution stressed that candidates must adhere to all stated requirements to avoid disqualification.

This announcement comes shortly after the release of the 2026 UTME results, and the university urges all prospective students to carefully follow the guidelines to ensure a smooth admission process.
