Covenant University Student Almost Expelled Over Bathroom Incident
CU Student Almost Expelled Over Bathroom Incident

A 100-level student of Covenant University has narrated how she was almost expelled from the university just moments after she stepped into the bathroom. She explained that she was in her hostel chatting with her roommate when she decided to brush her teeth and head into the bathroom.

Unexpected Announcement While in Bathroom

As she entered the bathroom, she heard the hostel representative making an announcement about the presence of students in the chapel within the next 10 minutes. The student, known as @kosorochi on TikTok, explained that an event was taking place at the chapel and her attention was called to it while she was in the bathroom.

Due to the potential consequences of not attending the chapel service within the given time, she immediately left the bathroom and rushed to the venue. She recounted: "My admission flashed before my eyes. That was how I knew something was wrong."

Details of the Incident

In her TikTok video, she elaborated: "Covenant University used to have chapel services for many different occasions. Some were important. They had fixed a service for the school anniversary, I think. But it's either they announced it late or it was one of those services that was not very serious."

She continued: "As a 100-level student, instead of going, I was chatting with my roommate having the time of my life. Then something told me to go and brush my teeth. I was on the third floor, which we call 40 floor in Covenant University."

From her room, she could see outside the hall and noticed her seniors from Paul Hall dressed in corporate attire running in chaos. That was when she realized something was wrong.

Hall Rep's Urgent Warning

Describing the moment that nearly cost her admission, she said: "When I was trying to process everything, I heard the rep banging on the door shouting, 'Papa said if you're not in the chapel in the next 10 minutes, you'll be expelled.'"

She added: "Me, who just came in, the way I flew out of that bathroom, my admission flashed before my eyes. I had not showered. Thank God I brushed. Everywhere was in chaos. 500-level and 400-level students were running. Was it now me, a 100-level student, who would not run? I was so scared. What would I tell my mummy and daddy?"
