A graduate of Delta State University (DELSU) has gone viral on social media after proudly displaying her outstanding academic performance. The young lady, who studied Civil Engineering, emerged as the best graduating student in her department and shared her impressive CGPA of 4.60.
Emotional Journey to Success
In her initial post, the graduate, known as @daniellaagbi1 on TikTok, recounted her challenging journey through university. She revealed that she lost her mother while still in secondary school, a tragedy that profoundly affected her. Despite the pain and uncertainty, she persevered, drawing strength from her faith and the memory of her mother.
She wrote: 'There were days I didn't think I would make it to this point. Days filled with pressure, uncertainty, and moments that tried to break me. But through it all, God never left my side. Every late night, every tear, every silent prayer, He saw me through.'
She added: 'Losing my mom while I was still in school changed everything for me. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through. There were times I felt empty, times I questioned how I was supposed to keep going without her. But somehow, in the middle of that pain, I found strength I didn't even know I had. I kept pushing, not just for me, but for her too.'
Celebrating Academic Excellence
In a subsequent post, the graduate proudly announced her achievement: 'Best Graduating Student, Department of Civil Engineering, with a CGPA of 4.60. I DID THATTTT.' She also shared her story of resilience, noting that she never expected to reach such heights.
She dedicated her success to her late mother, saying: 'Mummy, this is for you. I hope I made you proud.'
