Lagos State University (LASU) has officially announced the commencement of applications for the 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates. The state-owned institution emphasized that the screening is mandatory for all prospective students seeking admission into the university.
Eligibility Criteria for LASU Post-UTME Screening
Candidates who selected LASU as their first choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 marks are eligible to participate in the online admission screening. Additionally, applicants must be at least 16 years of age by October 1, 2026.
Direct Entry Candidates Requirements
Direct Entry candidates are required to submit copies of their online Admission Screening Report and notification of Diploma (LASU Diploma) or NCE Result at the Admission Annex or Liaison Office located in Room 7, Administrative Block II.
Method of Application for LASU Post-UTME 2026/2027
The online payment and registration procedure is as follows:
- Visit the official LASU website at www.lasu.edu.ng
- Navigate to the Student section and click on New Applicants
- Select UTME/DE Screening at https://lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening
- Click on UTME CANDIDATE LOGIN
- Enter your UTME Registration Number and Surname, then click Submit
The Registrar and Secretary to Council, Emmanuel A. Fanu, stated that only candidates who chose LASU as their first choice are eligible. Both payment and registration will run from Wednesday, June 3, 2026, to Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at midnight.
