The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released the call-up numbers for its 2025 Batch C stream of Prospective Corps Members. This significant update was communicated to the public via an official statement on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Registration Order Determines Call-Up Numbers
In its announcement made on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the NYSC management clarified a key detail for applicants. The scheme stated that the allocation of call-up numbers is based strictly on the order of registration. This means those who completed their online registration early have been assigned their numbers first.
However, the announcement came with crucial information regarding mobilization capacity. The NYSC management disclosed a significant constraint that will affect a large number of applicants for the upcoming orientation course.
Camp Capacity Limits Mobilization to 40%
The corps revealed a major limiting factor for the 2025 Batch C mobilization exercise. According to the official statement, only about 40 percent of all registered Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) will be accommodated for the orientation program.
The scheme attributed this limitation to the available space and facilities at its orientation camps. Camp capacity across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is the primary reason why a majority of registrants will not be called up for this particular batch.
Automatic Transfer for Unaccommodated PCMs
For the thousands of Prospective Corps Members who will not be mobilized in this batch, the NYSC provided reassurance and a clear path forward. The management confirmed that all affected individuals will be automatically moved to the next batch.
The statement further clarified that the subsequent batch will commence shortly after the conclusion of the Batch C orientation exercise. Management remains committed to ensuring a hitch-free orientation exercise and service year experience for our PCMs, the corps assured.
This development follows a recent 48-hour extension of the 2025 Batch C registration portal. The extension was granted to alleviate network-related delays and technical challenges that prospective corps members faced during the registration process. The NYSC had earlier confirmed that its technical teams were working tirelessly to resolve the ongoing portal issues.
In a related positive development for corps members, the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has recently approved an increase in the monthly allowance for NYSC members serving in the state. The new allowance structure, which raises the stipend to ₦50,000, was confirmed by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Njoku Ukoha.
