A young Nigerian lady, Folakemi Oluduro, has celebrated her graduation as a medical doctor from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, after achieving distinctions in eight courses. She shared her academic journey and the emotional moments of her induction and oath-taking ceremony on social media, triggering an outpouring of congratulations.
Distinctions in Eight Courses
Folakemi, known as @folakemioluduro on TikTok, revealed that she earned distinctions in Pathology, Pharmacology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Mental Health, Internal Medicine, Community Health, and Surgery. She expressed gratitude to God for the achievement, noting that the only oath she has ever sworn in her life was to enter the medical profession.
In her words: 'The only time I've ever had to swear an oath in my entire life was to enter into this profession. But can I say? I guess it's official: DR. OLUWAFOLAKEMI OLUDURO (MBChB Ife). Graduating with Distinctions in eight courses! Glory to God!'

In another post, Folakemi celebrated her parents for their unwavering support throughout her academic journey. She described them as her rocks and examples, thanking them for their sacrifices and prayers. She wrote: 'My parents, my rocks, my examples. Without you, I'd be nothing today. Thank you for all the sacrifices, nights where you kept up thinking about me, literally having vigils. I'm so grateful. In this lifetime of mine, may I forever be a blessing to you and make you proud always. I love you.'
