A newly inducted doctor at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) has celebrated his achievement as the best-graduating student from the College of Health Sciences. Oloruntoba Ettu revealed his impressive academic scores, including his performance in the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Academic Achievements
On his LinkedIn page, Ettu detailed his accomplishments: seven distinctions and being named best student in multiple courses. His post read: 'My heart is full, after a long, arduous journey of 8 years that culminated in the following achievements: Best Graduating Student, 32nd set of graduating doctors, Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences, OOU; Best Academic Result in OACHS, OOU history at time of graduation (2026).'
He listed distinctions in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Internal Medicine. He was also named Best Student in Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Internal Medicine. Additionally, he received the Prof Adenike Grange's Prize for the Best Student in Paediatrics, Altis Magnus' Award of Academic Excellence, OOUMSA Exemplar Award, and first position in the Dr Jay Samuels Inter-Medical Students' Association Quiz Competition.
Ettu also shared his 2018 WASSCE results: A1 in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, Civic Education, and Radio, Television and Electronics Work. His UTME scores were: Physics 96, Chemistry 89, Biology 85, Use of English 77, for a total of 347.
