A graduate of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has gone viral on social media after sharing her impressive academic achievements. The young lady, known on X (formerly Twitter) as @Stunin80, revealed that she graduated with a remarkable 4.87 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) out of a possible 5.00, and was named the overall best graduating student in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science.
In her post, she provided a detailed breakdown of her CGPA progression from her 200 level to her final year. She noted that she gained admission into the university through the Direct Entry programme, so she did not have a CGPA for her 100 level. Her journey was as follows:
- 100 level: Direct Entry (no CGPA)
- 200 level: 4.72
- 300 level: 4.85
- 400 level: 4.78 (her toughest year)
- 500 level: 5.00
- Final CGPA: 4.87/5.00
She proudly announced, "Overall Best Graduating Student, Department of Medical Laboratory Science, UNIBEN. From ‘can she do it?’ to ‘she did it.’ God did."
The post quickly garnered widespread attention, with many users congratulating her on her outstanding performance. Some of the reactions included:
- @EEniwaye9077: "Wow. Beauty and brain. Congratulations. Greater heights. Take your flowers."
- @TheAAAYouNeed: "Another day to be so proud of a total stranger. Congratulations."

- @owendino01: "I hope you leave that country bcuz 9ja's political class will drain all your effort. It took a lot from you mentally, emotionally and physically to attain this. In saner climes you'd be granted scholarship for your masters and other research projects but in that country? Hmmm."
- @POwenaze53367: "Congratulations, ma I'm a 300 level medical laboratory science student of the University of Benin. I watched you walk up the podium to give your speech."

- @Fobac_2024: "Congratulations. What was your Direct entry point and which program did you do?"
This inspiring story highlights the power of dedication and hard work. In a similar vein, another UNIBEN graduate recently shared his school fee details from his undergraduate days, revealing the amounts paid from acceptance fee through to tuition across different levels. Meanwhile, a University of Lagos graduate also celebrated earning a Second Class Upper degree in Pharmacology with a 4.18 CGPA, after struggling in her early years.
