Asake's 'M$NEY' Concert Film: First Spotify Live Album Movie

Asake's historic 'M$NEY' concert film has been released exclusively on Spotify, marking the first full-length live album performance film the streaming platform has ever produced. The film captures the Nigerian Afrobeats star's one-night-only performance at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane on June 21, 2026, where he debuted his chart-topping album live for the first time since its release in May.

Historic Performance at Theatre Royal Drury Lane

Close to 2,000 fans filled the historic venue for the invite-only event, which required a black-tie dress code. Asake, a two-time GRAMMY-nominated artist, was accompanied by a live orchestra, a 40-person choir, and the renowned live band The Compozers. This performance marked the first time an Afrobeats artist has headlined a venue of Theatre Royal Drury Lane's stature and heritage.

Exclusive Content and Unreleased Tracks

During the performance, Asake sang hits from the 'M$NEY' album alongside four unreleased songs. The concert film, titled 'Asake - M$NEY Live in London (Spotify Live),' is available exclusively on Spotify at launch. An audio-only live album accompanies the film. In celebration of the release, Spotify held an exclusive premiere screening at its recently opened Listening Lounge in central London.

Asake's Reflections on the Performance

“This performance was a reflection of everything M$NEY represents – gratitude, growth, my spiritual and creative journey all in one. Everything flows from a place of gratitude to God and every moment that's shaped me, and I hope that comes through. M$NEY was always meant to travel – when you feel good music, you feel it in your chest. That's what I wanted this album to be. Something that crosses every border. I start touring the album later this year, but I always like to give my fans a few surprises, which I was able to do with this performance. I’m glad we’re able to share it with fans worldwide,” Asake said.

Album Success and Streaming Dominance

Upon its release, 'M$NEY' topped streaming charts in more than 19 countries, including Nigeria, and peaked at No. 8 in the United States. Asake continues to dominate streaming platforms, particularly Spotify Nigeria, where he holds the record as the most-streamed artist of all time. The concert film joins a series of exclusive live performance content on Spotify, following releases from Bad Bunny in Tokyo, Olivia Rodrigo in Barcelona, and Skye Newman in London.
