EMCOAN Inaugurates New Leaders for Content Creators

The Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) marked a historic moment on Thursday, May 7, as it inaugurated a new set of leaders at its secretariat. The event heralded a new dawn for content creators across the country, with the association concluding its elections in an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared vision. The newly elected executive council is poised to navigate the evolving landscape of digital and terrestrial content, bringing together a wealth of experience and a commitment to innovation.

Swearing-In Ceremony

Industry figures and Board of Trustee (BOT) members, including Agatha Amata of Inside Out Media Ltd. and High Chief Emeka Ossai, a popular actor and producer who also serves as Managing Director of Golden Pyramids Production, officially swore in the newly elected executives. This ceremony signaled a seamless transition of power and a renewed dedication to the association's mission.

The 2026-2028 Executive Council

The executive council for the 2026 to 2028 term is headed by returning President Mr. Adeniji Omirin, who is also the Managing Director of Adnom Media Ltd. The team includes Alhaja Aminah Muhammad (MD, Aims Media Company Ltd.) as Vice President and Mr. Alayande Stephen T. (MD, Eagles House Global Resources) as General Secretary. Other key members are:

President's Vision

In his address, President Adeniji Omirin emphasized the council's steadfast commitment to protecting the interests of members and all electronic media content creators in Nigeria. He stated, "As seasoned leaders within the EMCOAN family, our commitment remains steadfast: to protect the interests of our members, as well as electronic media content creators in Nigeria while driving innovation in a rapidly evolving digital landscape." He further noted, "Let me also say that work begins earnestly to tackle industry challenges and harness new opportunities for Nigerian content creators globally."
