A young Nigerian lady has shared her experience visiting the Dangote Refinery, revealing what she saw through binoculars at the Atlantic Ocean section of the facility. She toured the refinery with her university's vice chancellor, dean, and other academic staff, documenting parts of the visit on TikTok under the handle @symply_deraprecious.
Binoculars Reveal Distant Ship at Atlantic Ocean Section
Upon arrival, she first visited the section near the Atlantic Ocean, where crude oil dispatching and collection occur. She noted that some people were using binoculars provided at the facility. When it was her turn, she looked through them and saw a distant ship very clearly and much closer. She explained: 'We drove down to the first facility, called the Atlantic Ocean, where the dispatching and collection of crude oil is done. With these binoculars, I was able to view a very distant ship very clearly and much closer.'
No Photography Allowed in Some Areas for Security
The lady explained that she was not allowed to take videos or photos inside certain parts of the facility due to security reasons. Despite this, she recorded most of her experience, including the crude oil storage area. She described the crude oil tank farm, saying: 'This is the crude oil tank farm, where they store their crude oil, with a large capacity of 120 million metres and a height of 9.5 metres.'
