Lanre Shittu Motors and Industry Nite have launched the LSMi Creative Hub, a major infrastructure platform aimed at reshaping Nigeria's creative landscape. The initiative seeks to formalize, scale, and monetize Africa's rapidly expanding creative economy, according to stakeholders.

Location and Vision

Situated on T.F. Kuboye Road in Oniru, Lagos, the Hub represents a strategic collaboration to move the creative sector from fragmented individual activity to a more structured, investment-driven ecosystem. The partners describe it as an experiential and digitally enabled creative district that bridges critical infrastructure gaps while creating sustainable pathways for creatives to monetize their work and access global opportunities.

Key Components

At the center of the project is the Content Factory, a production and intellectual property formalization hub designed to help creators develop, protect, distribute, and monetize content for local and international markets. The initiative also includes a Showcase and Exhibition Arena for concerts, festivals, exhibitions, and brand activations to boost visibility for emerging and established talents. Additionally, the Creative Marketplace provides a structured retail and hospitality environment where creators and vendors can generate revenue through curated commercial opportunities within a high-traffic entertainment ecosystem.

Partnership Expertise

The partnership combines Lanre Shittu Motors' expertise in industrial systems, mobility infrastructure, and workforce development with Industry Nite's long-standing influence in talent discovery and cultural programming. Over the last 16 years, Industry Nite has contributed significantly to Nigeria's entertainment growth, stimulating more than $10 million in artists' earnings, supporting over 10,000 jobs, and providing platforms for more than 5,000 emerging talents alongside over 100 headline acts.

Chief Promoter's Statement

Chief Promoter of the LSMi Creative Hub, Matthew Ohio, stated that the project was conceived to address structural challenges limiting the growth of Africa's creative industries. He noted that more than 90% of creators in Nigeria remain informal and excluded from global royalties, licensing systems, and structured growth opportunities. The Hub is designed to solve this structural gap by building the physical and digital infrastructure required to formalize and scale the sector. Ohio also emphasized that the Hub will operate under transparent governance and a revenue-sharing structure aimed at attracting institutional investors and blended financing into the creative sector.

Economic Context

The launch comes amid increasing discussions about the role of intellectual property, cultural exports, and digital services in driving economic growth across Africa, particularly under frameworks such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
