Priest Builds Second House for Widow in Anambra

Founder of the Faithspiration Organisation and a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, Rev'd Fr. George Adimike, has built a house for Anthonia Ezugwu, a poor widow, in Diaba Opi Agu, a remote community in the Catholic Diocese of Nsukka, Anambra State. This marks the second such benevolent intervention by the priest in the community.

Fr. Adimike and his Faithspiration team journeyed from Onitsha to Opi Agu, where they were warmly welcomed by grateful villagers and faithful members eager to witness what was described as the incarnation of love.

The house was solemnly blessed by the Catholic Bishop of Nsukka Diocese, Most Rev'd Godfrey Igwebuike Onah, whose arrival was greeted with joy by members of the Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) and other observers.

In his address, the Bishop thanked God for raising instruments of compassion within the church. He commended Fr. Adimike for what he called a "distinct apostolate of mercy," noting that this was not his first outreach in Opi Agu. Recalling the ripple effects of such generosity, Bishop Onah disclosed that the first house built by Fr. Adimike had inspired another benefactor from Anambra State to construct a church in the same community.

He urged the people to imbibe the spirit of love and extend it to people both within and outside the church, reminding members that true Christianity is measured in concrete acts of charity.

The Parish Priest of St. Patrick's Parish, Opi Agu, Rev'd Fr. Nweke Pascal, expressed gratitude to the Bishop for his pastoral presence and to Fr. Adimike for his continued generosity. He also appreciated the faithful and well-wishers whose presence added color and meaning to the celebration.

The Community Chairman, speaking on behalf of the people, conveyed profound gratitude to the Bishop, Fr. Adimike, and all who remembered Opi Agu in such a meaningful way. He described the gesture as a sign that the community is not forgotten but held in high esteem by the church.
