Born in San Francisco, America, and now based in London, Sarah Baker is not merely a perfumer; she is an artist who works with scent as a medium of memory and storytelling. After studying Fine Art at the San Francisco Art Institute and completing her MFA at Goldsmiths, University of London, Baker began exploring fragrance as narrative art. In 2014, following an art-fragrance collaboration with the Institute for Art & Olfaction, she founded Sarah Baker Perfumes in 2015, establishing a house that treats each scent as theatre, complete with scripts, characters, emotional arcs, and cinematic staging.
