Linda Ikeji has released the teaser for her upcoming film, The Night of June 7th, which dramatizes the true story of the Apo Six — six friends who were extrajudicially killed by police in Abuja in 2005. The film stars Femi Branch, Ali Nuhu, Gideon Okeke, and Charles Lenny.
Plot of The Night of June 7th
On the night of June 7, 2005, six friends set out for an evening of celebration. Their night took a deadly turn when they encountered a police officer, leading to the killing of four on the spot and two others who were taken away and later killed. The movie explores the events of that night and the consequences of extrajudicial killings in Nigeria.
Production Team
The film is written and produced by Linda Ikeji, with direction by Toka Mcbaror. Ikeji, a prominent blogger and media entrepreneur, has ventured into film production with this project. The teaser was shared on her Instagram page on February 6, 2026.
