A heartbreaking video showing Chioma, the elder sister of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, breaking down at his funeral has surfaced online, sparking widespread emotional reactions.
The actor's body arrived in Arochukwu, Abia State, for his burial, and footage capturing the poignant moment quickly began trending on social media platforms.
Chioma Overcome with Grief
In one clip, Chioma was walking among the procession welcoming her brother's remains when she spotted the vehicle carrying his body. Overcome with emotion, she dropped the framed photograph she was holding and moved toward the vehicle.
In another part of the video, she broke down inconsolably as several women gathered around to support and comfort her. She was seen rolling on the ground before being helped to sit and later stand up as those around her tried to console her.
Funeral Proceedings
After arriving in Arochukwu, the actor's body was taken to the palace of the traditional ruler. The monarch and a chief offered prayers for the deceased while standing beside the vehicle conveying his remains.
