Former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was stripped of his 'Prince' title, has been spotted with a massive, unexplained red and purple bruise across his face. The disgraced member of the royal family was seen behind the wheel on June 4, driving away from Marsh Farm on the royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
The bruise surrounded his right eye and extended across most of his cheek. It remains a mystery how or when the former prince sustained the facial injury. Andrew has kept an extremely low profile since a terrifying security breach on the estate just last month. The disgraced royal was walking the late Queen Elizabeth's beloved dogs near Sandringham when an intruder suddenly rushed at him. It is understood a man dashed toward the ex-Duke of York while screaming, forcing a panicked Andrew to run down a country lane to seek refuge in his vehicle.
Andrew, who fled the scene at high speed, was reportedly left 'shaken' by the confrontation. Following the scare, the prince allegedly demanded the restoration of his round-the-clock security team. His taxpayer-funded protection was famously cut by King Charles in August 2024 as the fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal intensified.
The mystery bruise comes just a week after it was revealed that Buckingham Palace received emails alleging Andrew leaked confidential government secrets during his tenure as a British trade envoy. A massive archive of 30,000 emails detailing his private financial dealings was passed to the Lord Chamberlain back in 2020. The correspondence had been seized from one of Andrew's close personal business associates.
