Anne Hathaway Expecting Third Child
Actress Anne Hathaway, aged 43, has announced that she is pregnant with her and husband Adam Shulman's third baby. The Oscar-winning star shared the joyful news on Friday, June 19, by posting a video on Instagram that showcased her growing baby bump.
In the video, Hathaway can be seen cradling her belly, and she captioned the post with the words, "x Baby I'm yours x." The announcement has been met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from both colleagues and fans alike.
The couple, who have been married since 2012, are already parents to two sons. Their first child, Jonathan, was born in 2016, followed by their second son, Jack, in 2019.
In a 2024 cover story for Vanity Fair, Hathaway opened up about a difficult period in her life, revealing that she had suffered a miscarriage nearly 10 years prior while she was performing in the play Grounded, a production in which her character was pregnant.
Reflecting on that experience, she shared, "The first time it didn't work out for me. ... So when it did go well for me, having been on the other side of it — where you have to have the grace to be happy for someone — I wanted to let my sisters know, 'You don't have to always be graceful. I see you and I've been you.'"
Hathaway continued, "It's really hard to want something so much and to wonder if you're doing something wrong."
