Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has shared a powerful message on the importance of gratitude to God, urging people not to take the simple gifts of life and health for granted. In a post on his Instagram story on Sunday, May 31, 2026, he encouraged everyone to improve their practice of showing gratitude and giving proper thanks for being alive and healthy.
He emphasized that being healthy and alive is priceless and a privilege many people lack. "We all need to do better at showing gratitude to God. Waking up in the morning, healthy and alive is a blessing that many people don't have," he wrote.
Basketmouth reminded his followers to stop dwelling on setbacks and disappointments, and instead focus on gratitude for everyday blessings, including the ability to move without pain. "So what if you miss a deadline? So what if you don't get that promotion? Lose your job? Or your car breaks down? If you are alive and healthy, you still have something priceless," he stated.
He used a vivid example to drive home his point, noting that people often fail to appreciate the function of their buttocks until they face painful boils in that area. "Have you ever had boils on both ass cheeks before? That's when you truly discover the importance of buttocks. Suddenly, sitting becomes a luxury and a functioning buttocks becomes a blessing," he added.
