BNXN Says Lagos More Expensive Than Los Angeles After US Move
BNXN: Lagos More Expensive Than Los Angeles

Nigerian singer BNXN, formerly known as Buju, has stirred debate by asserting that Lagos is more expensive than Los Angeles, California. The artist, who recently disclosed his relocation to the United States, shared his observations during a TikTok livestream, comparing the cost of living in both cities.

Unexpected Differences in Daily Life

According to BNXN, one striking aspect he noticed after moving to the US is that strangers rarely approach him for financial assistance, despite the economic hardships faced by many Americans. "I was telling someone, since I got to the United States, nobody has asked me to give them money. And people are also suffering here," he remarked.

Comparing Costs: Lagos vs. Los Angeles

The singer argued that Lagos surpasses Los Angeles in expense across several everyday categories. "Lagos is super expensive. It is more expensive than Los Angeles. Aside from housing, every other thing in LA is not expensive," he explained. BNXN highlighted his own housing costs as an example: "For instance, I am paying $12,000 monthly for my rent. Here you just pay your rent, and you're good."
