Cassie Ventura Leaves US Permanently After Diddy Trial, Court Docs Reveal
Cassie Leaves US for Good After Diddy Trial

Cassie Ventura, the former girlfriend of Sean 'Diddy' Combs, has permanently left the United States with her family following Diddy's high-profile trial, according to recently revealed court documents. The 39-year-old singer, best known for her hit 'Me & U,' has maintained a low profile since testifying during Diddy's dramatic trial last year.

Court records dated May 1, 2026, indicate that the Connecticut-born mother of three no longer resides in the US and has no plans to return. In a declaration quoted by Complex, Cassie stated: 'I reside outside of the United States. I do not intend to move back to the United States.' The documents also confirm that Cassie is a US citizen but is not currently a resident of California.

The filings were submitted in connection with a separate lawsuit filed by a male escort named Clayton Howard, who has accused Diddy and Cassie of hiring him to participate in alleged 'freak offs.' Howard claims he contracted a sexually transmitted disease as a result and also alleges that Cassie became pregnant following their encounters and subsequently had an abortion. He asserts that he suffered physical and psychological harm during his involvement with the former couple.

Legal Proceedings and Relocation

While Cassie's current location outside the US remains undisclosed, she stated in the court documents that it would be more convenient for legal proceedings related to Howard's lawsuit to take place in New York, where her legal team is based.

This development follows Cassie's courageous testimony about her toxic 11-year relationship with Diddy during his trial, where he faced charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy ultimately avoided a life sentence, as jurors found him not guilty of the most serious charge—racketeering conspiracy—but convicted him of two counts of transportation for prostitution.

Previous Lawsuit and Settlement

Cassie initially filed a lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023, which was settled amicably. Diddy 'vehemently denied' the claims, while Cassie stated she 'decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that she had some level of control.' Reports indicate she received a $20 million payout from Diddy, in addition to a $10 million settlement from the InterContinental Los Angeles Century hotel. The hotel settlement stemmed from a 2016 incident in which Diddy physically attacked Cassie in a hotel hallway, an event captured on video.
