Nollywood actor Charles Born broke down in tears while recounting the alleged mistreatment he suffered at the hands of his father during his childhood. In an emotional interview on the Ify's Kitchen podcast, the movie star opened up about the traumatic experiences that nearly drove him to take his own life.
Details of the Alleged Abuse
According to Charles Born, his father would look him in the eyes and say many unprintable things about his future. He further claimed that his father would soak a horsewhip in a custard bucket containing paper and use it to punish him. The actor said the mistreatment was so overwhelming that he once attempted to end his life, but was fortunately rescued when one of his father's friends heard him and broke into the house to save him.
