Popular Nigerian broadcaster Ifedayo Olarinde, widely known as Daddy Freeze, has publicly intervened in the ongoing paternity controversy involving music superstar Davido and a teenager named Anu Adeleke. The OAP made his stance clear during a recent Instagram Live session, where he defended his friend and shared new details about the case.
Daddy Freeze Presents His Evidence
During the live broadcast, Daddy Freeze stated he is almost certain that Davido is not the father of Anu Adeleke. He based this assertion on two key points. First, he claimed to have personally seen the result of one of the DNA tests already conducted. Second, he revealed he has been in direct communication with members of both families involved.
"I spoke to the two families," Daddy Freeze declared, adding a personal connection to the story. He disclosed that Anu's mother is the daughter of his late university lecturer, which prompted his initial involvement and concern for the matter.
A Proposed Path Forward and Financial Argument
The broadcaster offered a solution to the public dispute. He suggested that if Anu's family is serious about conducting another DNA test, they should pursue a legal route by obtaining a court injunction. He explained that, according to a Davido family member he spoke with, Anu's mother had previously provided the hospitals where two prior DNA tests were carried out.
Daddy Freeze also made a financial case for Davido's innocence. He argued that the singer, known for his wealth, has never shied away from his confirmed children. "Taking care of the girl for a year would not cost Davido more than N20 million," he calculated, emphasizing that such an amount is trivial for the 'Fall' crooner. He questioned why Davido would deny a child he could easily afford to support.
Furthermore, he stressed that Davido's father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, is a man of integrity who would not allow his son to neglect a true grandchild. "His father would not allow it and would accept the girl if she were truly his granddaughter," Daddy Freeze stated.
