Barely hours after internet personalities Peller and Jarvis tied the knot on July 29, a senior aide to the Delta State governor has publicly advised the young couple to protect their assets by signing a prenuptial agreement. Ossai Ovie Success, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, expressed his views in a social media statement, warning that the rapid pace of their marriage and their combined fame and fortune could lead to complications without legal safeguards.
Concerns Over Speed of Marriage
Ossai voiced disappointment over the haste with which the wedding took place, noting that many public figures rush into relationships without proper planning. He stated that the pressure on the couple is already immense, and without a prenup, they risk becoming another statistic of a short-lived union. 'I don't trust how fast this marriage happened and how much pressure is already on them,' he wrote.
Why a Prenup Matters
The governor's aide emphasized that when two public figures come together, external opinions about their finances, endorsements, real estate, and luxury vehicles can create friction. A prenuptial agreement, he argued, would clearly define asset division before third-party interference damages the relationship. 'We've all seen how fast “couple goals” can turn to “receipts and allegations” online,' Ossai added, referencing the vulnerability of internet personalities to public scrutiny.
He further explained that both Peller and Javis have independent careers and brand deals. 'Peller has brands, streams, and gifts. Javis has her own career and brand too. A prenup makes it clear what belongs to who, so business doesn’t kill love,' Ossai said, stressing that signing a prenup is an act of maturity, not a lack of trust.

He went on to list reasons, including the need to prevent social media trials and family interference, and concluded: 'Love is good. But love + clarity is better. Love + agreement is what lasts. Congrats to Javis and Peller. I pray their home stands. But I also pray it was built with sense, not just vibes. I am disappointed.'
