A Nigerian woman has shared a startling story about how her relationship ended after she overate during a visit to her fiance's family home. Sherifah Obansa recounted that her fiance ghosted her following the incident, which occurred when she consumed all the food his mother served and even unzipped her shirt to accommodate more.

The Incident

According to Sherifah, the ordeal began when she visited her fiance's family house. His mother prepared amala and okro soup with plenty of fish. Sherifah admitted to eating heartily, going as far as unzipping her shirt to continue eating comfortably. After finishing the meal, she was unable to zip her shirt back due to her full stomach. One of her fiance's sisters lent her a veil to cover herself as she left.

Sherifah shared her story in response to a post by one Papshine, who sought advice after his sister and mother claimed it was bad etiquette to finish all the food served when visiting an in-law's house.
