Anthony Guidera, the actor best known for his role in The Godfather Part III, has died at the age of 65, weeks after collapsing at his home in Southern California. He was rushed to the hospital on May 11 when his heart suddenly stopped beating.

His wife, Valarie, confirmed to TMZ that after three weeks in the hospital, he was taken off life support and brought home to die naturally. The cause of death, which occurred on Saturday, June 6, remains unknown, as doctors have not determined what caused the initial collapse.
Family Tribute
Valarie shared a heartbreaking post on Facebook announcing his death. She wrote, "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Anthony. We are devastated and trying to breathe through the impossible, taking each moment as it comes. Please hold this eternal light in your hearts and our family in your prayers."
Previously, on Father's Day, she had praised her husband, saying he was "beyond a father" to their son, Nick, and "a true influencer of dreams and an elevated foundation for love and the higher path."

Guidera's breakthrough role came in 1990 as a bodyguard also named Anthony in the third and final Godfather film. He later starred as Robbie in the 1995 sci-fi film Species, for which he won the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss with co-star Natasha Henstridge.
Throughout the late 1990s, he became a familiar face on screen, appearing in films such as The Rock, The Postman, and the Bruce Willis blockbuster Armageddon. He also worked consistently on television, landing roles in shows like Renegade, Baywatch, Angel, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
