In his emotional post, Hernandez described Deisy as "the queen of my life" and "the most beautiful, beautiful, precious, the best woman in the world." He thanked her for standing by him through difficult moments and prayed that she would continue to watch over him and their family. "You can now fly high with God," he wrote, asking her to "guide me to move forward and lift our family."
Details of the Tragic Incident
According to reports, Deisy was staying at the Hotel Eduards in Macuto when the twin earthquakes struck. She had traveled with Hernandez, who was scheduled to play for La Guaira Delfines in the Venezuelan baseball league. Local reports indicated that players rushed back to the hotel after the earthquakes in search of their loved ones, but Deisy could not be rescued in time.
