A Nigerian lady has shared a distressing account of how a man she met on TikTok allegedly ejected her from his residence in Osogbo shortly after her arrival. The woman, who goes by the handle @onlyflorandada on TikTok, posted a video detailing the incident, which she says remains etched in her memory.
How the Relationship Started
According to her narrative, she connected with the man on TikTok around February. They began a romantic relationship, but she claims the only material gesture he made before their meeting was purchasing a 5MB data bundle for her when she faced network issues and could not subscribe herself.
The Disagreement and the Invitation to Osogbo
@onlyflorandada explained that during their relationship, she made a statement that upset the young man. To resolve the misunderstanding, he asked her to travel to his location in Osogbo so he could forgive her. She complied, funding the trip herself.
Upon arrival, she alleges that the man made sexual advances toward her, which she rejected. Later the same day, he reportedly made another advance, which she again refused. In response, she claims he packed her belongings and forced her out of his house.
Her Statement and Reaction
In the TikTok video, she stated: “I can’t forget it. He kept touching me, but I told him I wasn’t interested. He packed my bag, threw me out of his house and said if I wouldn’t sleep with him, I should leave.” The video has sparked discussions about online dating safety and the expectations some men place on women who visit them.
The incident highlights the risks associated with meeting online acquaintances in person, especially when traveling to unfamiliar locations. Many social media users have expressed sympathy for the lady and cautioned others to prioritize their safety when planning such visits.
