A Nigerian woman, Aisha Lawal, has advised married men to consider marrying multiple wives and fathering children with other women to avoid mistreatment in their old age.
Woman's Warning to Married Men
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, June 2, Aisha argued that some men refrain from polygamy out of concern for their wives' feelings, but this could backfire. She claimed that many wives have already planned how to deal harshly with their husbands in old age, holding past mistakes against them.
“Some men will suffer in old age not because they are bad husbands or fathers, but because the only wife they married has already planned how she is going to deal with him mercilessly for his past mistakes. Yet, they've refused to marry more wives so they won't hurt her,” she wrote.
Aisha's comments have sparked discussions on social media, with some supporting her view and others criticizing it as promoting polygamy for selfish reasons.
