Mother Accuses Ex-Husband of Abandoning Son, Begs Public for Help
Mother Accuses Ex-Husband of Abandoning Son

Hope Neche, a young mother who previously made headlines for her early marriage and divorce, has taken to Facebook again to accuse her ex-husband, Ugonna Kingsley Ug******, of being a deadbeat father. In a viral post, she begged the public to help convince him to fulfill his parental duties.

Background of the Plea

Neche married very young while still a student and divorced shortly after the birth of her first child. She had earlier shared her story about why her marriage ended, which garnered widespread attention. Now, she is publicly calling out her child's father for allegedly refusing to be part of their son's life.

Details of the Accusation

In her Facebook post, Neche wrote: "If you know Ugonna Kingsley Ug****** in ******* Line at ***** Plaza, Alaba International Market, please tell him to buy provisions for his son. I am begging the general public to help me beg my 'best husband in the world' to come and see his own flesh and blood." She offered to provide his shop number to anyone willing to help.

Neche recounted that the last time her ex-husband saw their child was when she begged him to take the boy to his house while she was being admitted to the hospital. He returned the child after her discharge, but she said he never expressed concern or even said sorry. "I was in a very bad state both times, but he didn't utter the word 'sorry' to his one-time lovely wife. I'm not complaining oh, he doesn't have to tell me sorry nau. I am very useless," she added.

Hospital Ordeal and Neglect

During her hospital stay, Neche said she pleaded with her ex to bring their son so she could see him, fearing she might not survive. "While I was in the hospital, I begged him to bring my son so I could see him because I didn't want to die without at least seeing my child one last time. My innocent ex-husband read my message and didn't reply." She thanked God she survived and that her son returned to her, but noted that the child cried non-stop and his father told him they would meet on Sunday, a promise that remains unfulfilled many Sundays later.

Desperate Plea for Support

Neche directly appealed to Ugonna: "Ugonna Kingsley Ug******, if you know that God will not punish you by removing the remaining hair from your head, come and see your son tomorrow. His provisions have finished! I cannot kill myself to provide all his needs while still looking for money to pay our rent." She explained she needs 1 million naira for rent and cannot spare even 3,000 naira to buy Freshyo, the least item on her list. She accused him of shirking responsibility after enjoying unprotected sex, saying, "The night you impregnated me, you should have used a condom, but you refused. Even though I bought it, now you don't want to pay child support after enjoying raw sex!"

Threat of Divine Retaliation

Ending her post with a warning, she wrote: "Vengeance is of the Lord, but I will drag first — you and whoever tries to defend you!" Her story has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many sympathizing and others criticizing the public airing of private matters.
