Media personality Noble Igwe has shared his thoughts after videos from actor Alexx Ekubo's funeral circulated on social media. Alexx Ekubo, who passed away in May, was laid to rest on Thursday, June 18, in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State.
Controversy Over Funeral Atmosphere
The burial followed a wave of online controversy sparked by OAP Daddy Freeze, who publicly criticized the white dress code and upbeat musical selections at the earlier Service of Songs. Freeze questioned the celebratory nature of the events, arguing that a man passing away at the young age of 40 should be strictly mourned rather than celebrated. Despite the critique, guests maintained the white dress code for the final burial ceremony.
Noble Igwe's Advice
Taking to his Instagram Stories hours after the event, Noble Igwe explicitly advised attendees to avoid actions that would provide further commentary content for a certain 'daddy.' He also asked them not to post so many videos that would make the event look like a celebration.
