Nollywood actor Rykardo Agbor has shared a deeply personal story about his and his wife's 18-year struggle with childlessness before welcoming twins. In a recent interview with AfricanAlist, Agbor, a prominent figure in the Yoruba movie industry despite not being Yoruba, detailed the emotional journey that tested his patience and faith.
18 Years of Waiting
Agbor revealed that he and his wife waited 18 years before having children. "It took 18 years for me to have the twins. And I waited. God knows, 18 years and they are 14 now, so I told God I wanted twins," he said. He emphasized that despite the prolonged wait, he remained faithful to his wife. "I wanted to get married to a particular lady; I have married her regardless of where she is from. She is not from my tribe. So ordinarily, we were supposed to have strife; no, it was very fair," he explained.
Toughest Moment: Losing His Mother
When asked about the toughest moment in his life, Agbor recounted the loss of his mother, who died in his arms as he was moving her from the hospital after her health failed to improve despite treatment. This experience, he said, was the most challenging period he has faced.

The video of Agbor's revelation stirred emotional reactions on social media. Many users celebrated the actor and his wife for overcoming years of childlessness. Comments included:

Context: Childlessness in the Spotlight
Agbor's story echoes similar experiences in the public eye. Previously, chef and content creator Chef Amaka addressed rumors about her marriage to health influencer Aproko Doctor, revealing that she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal condition affecting ovulation and fertility, which had led to false assumptions about her husband's fertility.
